Dougherty, Colleen Ann's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colleen Ann Dougherty, who left us after a
courageous and prolonged battle with cancer, on November 29, 2024, in Tierra Verde, Florida, at the
age of 64.
Colleen is survived by her beloved soulmate, Kenneth Lee Atchison; her father, Paul John Dougherty; her
mother, Joyce Lorraine (Huff) Dougherty; her three sons, Christopher-Micheal Phillip Agresta (spouse
Erica Louise Agresta), Phillip Paul Agresta, and Scott Atchison; her brother, Paul Fess Dougherty (spouse
Elizabeth Ellen Dougherty); her three sisters, Susan Elizabeth Russo, Christine Dougherty (spouse Craig
Allen Grippe), and Sharon Ann Ambler (spouse Roy Oscar Ambler II); as well as four grandchildren she
cherished deeply. She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
Born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Colleen moved to Florida in 1981. A devout Roman Catholic, she was
known for her kindness, compassion, and love for her family and community. Colleen was a selfemployed businesswoman and part-owner of Natural Comfort Footwear. Her passions included walking
the beach collecting seashells, boating, decorating her homes and store, and spending time with her
loved ones.
A Roman Catholic Mass service will be held on December 12, 2024, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes,
730 San Salvador Drive, Dunedin, Florida, 34698. Following the Mass, a Celebration of Life will take place
at Billy’s Stone Crab Seafood Restaurant, 1 Colony Road, Tierra Verde, Florida, 33715.
