Consuelo Cangiamila's Obituary
Consuelo "Connie" Vaughn Cangiamila, 89, of Clearwater, FL passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023. Connie was born June 12, 1933 in New York City to Thomas and Josephine (Rubio) Edward, who along with her husband, Frank Vaughn and a son, Steve have preceded her in death.
Connie is survived by 2 sons, Mark Vaughn, Frank Vaughn; 2 daughters, Debby (Michael), Jenny; a daughter-in-law, Vicki; 9 grandchildren, Jason, Shannon, Casey, Amanda, Travis, Kari, Shane, Taylor, Kristi; 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Connie was a beautiful lady, who became a devoted wife, and a mother of 5 children, whom she loved with all her heart. She was the rock of the family; she was fun, smart, creative and very sassy. She was a straight-shooter, and you always knew where you stood with her. She was opinionated, sometimes stubborn, but very protective of her children, raising them by herself after becoming a widow at age 39.
Connie made many friends along the way, and everyone who met her loved her sharp wit and fun spirit. She loved antiquing and had several prized collections of treasures she found over the years. She was an antique dealer, along with her daughter, Debby, at "Somewhere in Time" Antiques, in Brandon, FL. She loved working alongside the other dealers who became fast friends. Connie's nickname was "Rocky", so fitting for her, as she fought cancer for over 6 years, while staying positive and determined to not let it get the best of her. She will be forever missed, but there is comfort knowing that such a special person will never be forgotten.
Thank you for your love, and all the beautiful memories we all shared with you. What a gem you were! You will always & forever be in our hearts.
- We love you mom.
