Dale Warren Rye's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dale Warren Rye, a devoted husband, stepfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Dale passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 75.
Born on June 11, 1949, in Arkansas to Warren Rye and Ardell Wiefericho, Dale grew up with a deep sense of duty and service. In 1967, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he completed two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. After returning home, Dale settled in Fresno, CA, before eventually moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked in security at Caesar's Palace for several years. Later he relocated to Texas, and finally to Palm Harbor, Florida, where he worked and retired from Walmart.
Dale was married to Donna Rye, and his life will be remembered for his unwavering patriotism and dedication to his country, his family, and his community. He was a hero in every sense of the word.
He is predeceased by his father, Warren Rye; mother, Ardell Wierfericho; step-daughter, Michelle Padgett; his sister, Carolyn Rye; nephews, Noal Freeman, James Freeman, and Tommy Richmond; and his cousin, Hilda Pollack.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his step children, Rich Wilkins and Brenda LeClaire; his sister, Bonnie Morris; his nieces and nephews; Tempe Forosum, Linda Placenia, Bonnie Hansel, Doyle Freeman, Kimberly Colangelo, and Christina Richmond; his cousins, Elizabeth Price, and Jackie James, and many extended family members and friends.
Interment with military honors will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday November 13, 2024 at Florida National Cemetery.
