Daniel De Leon's Obituary
Daniel De Leon, 66, was born on June 29th, 1958, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Daniel and Gladys De Leon, and the youngest of four siblings. Daniel spent the first 36 years of his life in San Juan, where he attended República de Colombia in Rio Piedras.
He later moved to Clearwater, Florida, where he continued to enrich the lives of those around him. He began a career as a concrete truck driver, from which he retired in 2012 after 34 years of committed service. On January 20, 1995, Daniel married the love of his life, Rosa De Leon, in Miami, Florida. His wedding day was one of the best days of his life. Daniel was a faithful husband of 30 years.
Daniel was a devoted Catholic whose faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found immense joy in the birth of his children and becoming a grandfather, the other two best days of his life. Music was also one of Daniel’s passions. He was a talented singer and percussionist, playing instruments like the conga and bongo. His favorite songs included “En mi Viejo San Juan,” “Che Che Cole,” and Ismael Rivera’s “Me Negrita Me Espera.” His love for music was a testament to his lively and joyful nature.
Daniel De Leon passed away on September 2nd, 2024, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Rosa De Leon, sons, George De Leon and Danny De Leon Jr., and three daughters, Diana De Leon, Denisce De Leon, Keyshla M. De Leon, and Leemardys A. De León.
Daniel’s final wishes were for his family to remain united and to carry on his lively spirit. He will be remembered for his warmth, his music, and being a loving husband and father who cherished his family deeply.
A viewing will be held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Clearwater, FL.
