Daniel Martin Meahl's Obituary
Daniel Meahl of Palm Harbor, FL was born June 1, 1932 in Erie, PA. Son of Herbert E. Meahl and Theresa G. Spacht Meahl. Graduated from Cathedral Prep High School and Gannon University. He was in sales for Akron-Chicago Trucking Company, Bartlett Snow, Paragon Packaging, and the Hilton Hotel. He retired to Florida in 1986. Daniel loved cooking, was a Master Gardener and was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
Daniel was a devout Roman Catholic and served as Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Lazarus Society. While residing in Hudson Florida, he served as a past president of Beacon Woods. He enjoyed bowling, bocce, good wine, classical music, a shot of Jameson and especially peanut butter.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann of 69 years, eight children: Christine Meahl of Powell, OH; Catherine & Frank Pandora of Powell, OH; Mary Dietsch of Brandon, FL; Thomas & Debbie (deceased) Meahl of Erie, PA; Michael & Marianne Meahl of Erie, PA; Janet Dorrough of Palm Harbor, FL; Kevin Meahl of Erie, PA; and Paul & Beth Meahl of Cranberry Township, PA. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Ralph and sisters Geraldine Baron and Sr. Mary Daniel, OSB.
