Darrell Boyden Hauck's Obituary
Darrell Boyden Hauck was born June 27, 1950 at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC. Due to his father's military career, Darrell spent time in a number of places growing up including Massachusetts, Delaware, and Germany before graduating high school in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
Darrell attended the University of Florida, and Florida Atlantic University, before receiving his undergraduate degree from Rollins College. He went on to later receive an MBA from University of Phoenix.
Darrell proudly served in the United States Navy as a Corpsman, also graduating BUD/S and becoming a US Navy SEAL. He survived 3 tours of Vietnam as a SEAL.
Darrell was an avid photographer, as well as a licensed pilot with a deep love of the ocean and his beloved dogs Stormy, Rocky, Nugget, Chase, Frodo, and Kingston.
After his military service, Darrell was a career insurance adjuster with over 40 years of multi-line experience, including operating a successful adjusting firm of his own. Darrell served as the President of the Houston Claims Association in 2005-2006. Darrell owned his own wedding photography business as well for a few years.
Darrell was 71 years young when he made his transition to the other side on August 22, 2021. He is survived by his sisters Gretchen Golden and Candace Stanford, as well as nephews Shaun and Kevin Golden, Stephen Stanford, nieces Kelly Ochoa and Kimberley Childers, and stepchildren Christopher and Nicole Harding.
