David Joseph Fitzmorris' Obituary
David, 49, was born in Tampa, Florida and spent the majority of his life in Tampa Bay. David was a graduate of Tampa's H. B. Plant High School with high honors and attended the University of Florida in Gainesville as a political science major.
Technology was a natural fit and led to an industrious career in computer science, security, and data engineering. David worked many years at Raymond James Financial and Centene. He often built his own computers and enjoyed learning and teaching about new advances in the field.
David's real passions were enjoyed outside of work. David shared a loving home in Clearwater, Florida with his wife, Cristine Adair, whom he fell in love with as a teenager and enjoyed 29 years with. David was a constant source of comfort, companionship, safety and support for his wife. Also central to his life were their feathered children (parrots) who were a great source of entertainment. David's innate intelligence made him a modern renaissance man, and his leisure time was spent exploring hobbies like building and flying drones, helicopters, planes, racing radio controlled cars and boats, learning copious amounts of history, military history, math, and science. He even taught himself how to play the guitar. His vacations took him to new ports, exploring the world with his wife and family.
David's loved ones and friends will miss his immense love of life and his witty sense of humor. He loved laughing, telling jokes, and bestowing nicknames on his wife, pets, family and friends. David's handsome face held golden hazel eyes that sparkled with mirth and he had an unforgettable smile with his deep dimples. He was a wordsmith in conversation and correspondence, and wrote his wife Cristine loving poems of affection for holidays, anniversaries, and birthdays. Every single one of his notes included a caricature of their parrots and expressed love and comfort that she will cherish always.
David was a spark of life, serenaded by sunshine, and will forever be loved and missed by those he left behind. His wife Cristine Adair (Clearwater), his father, Sam Fitzmorris (Tampa); mother, Tina Holliday (Wimauma); stepdad, Carl Pierce (Wimauma); and sister, Kristi Fitzmorris (St. Petersburg), and family throughout the United States and Canada. Per David's request, no formal service will be held, but instead he would ask people to honor his memory by spending time enjoying what they love.
