David Wilmer Ko's Obituary
David Wilmer Ko, 97, passed away peacefully in Dunedin, Florida, on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Born in Philadelphia to parents Henry Tung Sing Ko and Florence Lee Jow Ko, Dave spent most of his life in the Philadelphia area. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He and his brother Wesley were business owners, running a printing business together for 40 years in Philadelphia and later in upstate New York. He eventually retired to Hampstead, North Carolina. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed poker and blackjack, and spending time with his family.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Jean Budd Ko, his brother Wesley and sister Ruth. He is survived by son Kenneth Ko (Linda) of Clearwater, Florida, daughter Carole Phucas (Andrew) of Buford, Georgia, grandchildren David Ko, Christina Phucas, Basil Phucas, several nieces and a nephew. A memorial service will be held in North Carolina in the near future. Donations made be made in Dave’s memory to the Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry at

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 4:00 pm, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 107 Deerfield Rd, Hampstead, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dave’s memory to the Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry at www.lawrencevilleco-op.org.
