David C Stover Jr.'s Obituary
David C. Stover Jr. passed away at the age of 65 on May 2, 2022 at home with his beloved wife at his side. He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Linda; his mother, Lois; his in-laws Karl, Glenn, and Joy; his nephew, Nicholas; his godson, Harold Jay, and many other family members and friends.
Dave was a very unique and special person who touched the lives of all who knew him. He would encourage and inspire people to be the best they could be. He had an incredibly peaceful soul, and he loved beauty in all its forms, which was reflected in the work he did for a living and in his art work.
Dave had many interests and enjoyed nature, music, art, theater, visiting museums, eating good food, sailing, kayaking, hiking, and he loved his wife with all his heart, as she loved him. He enjoyed a good joke and could make work seem like fun. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.
In lieu of flowers, do something that Dave enjoyed in his honor. Go for a hike, climb a mountain, watch a sunset, go sailing, kayaking or canoeing, attend a play, go to a concert or the symphony, go to a museum, sing, visit a museum, create something, hug someone and tell them you love them. Do it in Dave's name, in his honor, and think of him.
The memorial service at First Presbyterian Church in Dunedin on 6/4/22 at 12:00 Noon will also be streamed. The link is: https://www.fpcdunedin.org/media
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little–but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me–but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me–But Let me Go!
