Denis J. Kleinrichert's Obituary
KLEINRICHERT, Denis Joseph, 82, of Clearwater, FL, died Aug. 28, 2012 at home. Denny was born in Fort Wayne, IN and grew up on a farm near Poe / Hoagland, outside Fort Wayne, where he attended Hessen Cassel Church and primary school, before attending Hoagland High School. After graduation in 1947, he worked 17 years for Doty Lithograph, eventually becoming a senior lithograph printing pressman in Fort Wayne. While his four children were in grade school, he studied emerging computer information programming and technology at Purdue University campus at Fort Wayne. He spent one year at Tri-State University working as a mainframe programmer in their computer science technology services department. Denny then spent the next 21 years as a computer information systems analyst and manager, first at Food Marketing Corporation/SuperValu, Fort Wayne and then Morton Thiokol in Shreveport, LA. He retired to Pinellas County in 1988, but took an interim position as a contingency planner for Chase Mortgage, Tampa, FL. He also worked as a disaster planning consultant for over 200 Assisted Living Facilities to develop and support their compliance with new Florida disaster planning statutes. He served as an officer on the Boards of Directors of several Condo Associations for several of his residences while in Florida. In his spare time, he renovated his various family homes and always had his toolbox available when visiting his children's homes. Denny was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Clearwater, where he was an Usher for many years and a prior active member of Society of St. Vincent DePaul for over 15 years. Denny is survived by Mary, his wife of 56 years and his children, Denise Kleinrichert, San Francisco, CA, Joseph (Paula) Kleinrichert, Roswell, GA, Stephen (Christa) Kleinrichert, Marietta, GA and Carolyn (Dale) Reynolds, in Ocoee, FL, and grandchildren (Reed, Alyssa, Jesse, Emma, Ethan, Tyler and Gabe). He is also survived by sisters, Rita Barrand and Rosemary Sweet, and brothers, Justin Kleinrichert and Jule Kleinrichert, all in the Fort Wayne, IN area. He has numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Alphonse L. and Bernadette (Fenker) Kleinrichert. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Clearwater.
