I worked in the Diocese of St. Pete and knew Denise for many years. She was an outstanding educator and I always turned to her when I had a question regarding early childhood programs. Denise gave every child a wonderful start in school. She was a gentle loving person. She will be missed.

I am an usher at St Catherine of Siena Church and I met Denise as she became a regular part of closing up the church after the 6pm mass. She was always very nice even when the church doors wouldn’t stay closed or lock and we helped each other get thru those issues along with Susie, Denise’s partner-in-crime and fellow sacristan: 1:

We were longtime friends from the neighborhood . We both attended OLPH and Pace High and I had the pleasure of Denise being my Maid of Honor in 1984 . Many sweet memories. I met Denise a couple of years ago in our senior exercise class. She and I had our “spot” in the back row of the class next to each other. She was such a gentle person and always spoke so softly. She told me how she loved to take long walks on the beach. She was a very dedicated daughter to her mother. She spoke very lovingly about her mother; I could tell she was a good caretaker. I moved on to another class but Denise and I still kept in contact. We had lunch together a few months ago. I’m so glad that we did. I send my condolences to her family and friends. I will miss her.
