Derron Robert Johns' Obituary
Our Son Derron Johns went home to Jesus on February 21, 2018. This trip was totally unexpected.
Derron is survived by his father Mike and his mother Norma, his brother David, Nephews and Nieces Jordan and Kaitlynn Johns, David M. Johns, Bradley and Lauren Womack, Brandon and Christine Womack and grandniece Luci and grandnephews Aiden and Chase. He had Aunts and Uncles who understood him and loved him dearly and Cousins who have beautiful memories to share.
Derron was a multifaceted person who only put forth one facet at a time. If he was with family it was all about family, if it was work it was all about work, if it was play it was all about play. Therefore, the various groups in his life never crossed paths. So, it has put much joy in our hearts to know Derron was not the lonely person he portrayed to us. He had friends such as his college buddies Dean, Stu and Neil. He had colleagues from a variety of companies that he worked for which were DHL, Oracle and DocuSign. He kept long term friendships. We have heard from so many of his friends they have truly lightened our burden of grief.
We especially want to thank David Tyner, a longtime friend of Derron’s, whose instincts alerted the staff at DocuSign that something was wrong and they in turn alerted us.
One group we cannot forget is his Pinball buddies which was truly an eyeopener. Each and everyone of you who kept in touch with “Eggbert52” have his Mother’s and his Father’s thanks and blessings as we never understood the depth of this “world” that Derron loved.
We hope many of you will write a story or two about our son Derron, either on this site or to us personally. We will treasure everything!
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Derron’s name to:
