Oh, I am so sad to read this post. I was just thinking about Diane. She was my boss from 1992-1994 at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro in San Francisco. I was a young, recent college graduate and she took me in and taught me so much - including the best place in China Town to buy lottery tickets. Her ability to pick the perfect font for an invitation or the perfect menu for a dinner still amazes me. The world lost a good one. Hugs to her family and friends. I will continue to carry her memories with me.

I knew Diane when we were both still in college & later when she moved to DC to work for the Center for Women Policy Studies. We lost touch. Then years later I tried to find her & I kept trying to find her. I presumed she'd stayed in the D.C. area, never expected she'd gone off to the west coast. So to find her here is both terribly shocking & sad. I wish I'd been able to reconnect with her years ago but am glad to know that she had a good life. ES

I met Diane in Oakland in 1994. We were instant friends. We were all the glass of 1987, Sarah, Diane and I. I lived in Salt lake and they lived in Oakland. We traveled together to Club Med and various places. I loved how kind she was. She was a wonderful friend. My favorite story was that i took her to see Bryce Canyon, and Zions in July. It snowed the whole week. We had to buy sweatshirts and warm clothes. I probably have some pictures. I will try to find them.

Getting to know her in San Francisco, CA. I went to visit her when I was in high school one summer. She had a glamorous apartment downtown. She was a source of encouragement at Skidmore College. She will be missed.
