Dixie Virginia Hardin's Obituary
HARDIN, Dixie Virginia 87, of Dunedin, passed away October 8, 2018. Born in Clarksburg, WV. Daughter of the late John and Norine Foshee.
She was predeceased by her sisters Annie and Johnnie. She graduated from Clearwater High, Mars Hill and Meredith colleges in NC. She married George Hardin in 1953 and enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Dixie taught elementary school, served in the Dunedin Jr. Service League and Countryside Kiwanis. She was very involved at Azalea, First Baptist of Dunedin and North Dunedin Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed her summers in NC.
She is survived by four children, George Hardin, Jr. (Patti) of Palm Harbor, Henry “Hank” Hardin (Lee), John Hardin (Yvonne) and Bette English (Alan) all from NC. She had 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NDBC.
