Dolores Albanese's Obituary
Albanese, Dolores (LiMandri) passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021 at the age of 90.
Born in Astoria, New York, Dolores relocated from West Nyack to Florida in 1974. She most recently resided in Clearwater.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Dr. Nicolo M. Albanese, and daughter Lisa Skliar.
Lovingly remembered by her daughter Terry Albanese of St. Petersburg, daughter Christine (Stephen) Foley of Dunedin, son Nick Albanese (Charlie Bertelink) of St. Petersburg, son, Bob Albanese of St. Petersburg, granddaughter Nicole (Phil) DiBlasi of Dunedin, grandson Martin (Suzanne) Foley of New Port Richey, granddaughter Kristen Gabbard (Jeff Blanding) of St. Petersburg, and great granddaughter, Mia DiBlasi.
Dolores worked as a Radiologic Technologist and it was during this time that she met her beloved husband.
Dolores loved to spend her free time gardening, bird watching, and sewing. She was an award-winning, self-taught seamstress who made many beautiful items including wedding dresses; the most spectacular for her youngest daughter. She was also incredibly talented at knitting and upholstering. Dolores loved to drive and enjoyed many trips with her husband in the motor home during their retirement. She was a fantastic cook and an even better baker. We especially loved her home-made ravioli and Christmas cookies.
Services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
