I just found out that Dominic died about 10 minutes ago. I knew Dominic when I was 11 years old. We moved down the street from The "Little Big Market" and that was our source of fruits and veggies until we moved in 62. I could do some lettering and I painted DVM on his 76 ford(with the chrysler engine) when he came back from Germany (Army) Dominic worked for Gulf Machinery company until 1990 and then he worked with me in my company South-Southwest until it closed. Dominic was a real Clearwater legend. I was talking to a neighbor from the good old days when he remarked" Wasn't it great knowing Dominic...when somebody was picking on you , all you had to say was I am a friend of Dominic Morelli and they would leave you alone. Dominic would always come when anybody had car trouble, regardless of the hour. I got a few chances to pay him back, but way less than I owed. I think that somewhere I read that he was described as a mechanic. Dominic could do just about anything. Some of the stainless steel piping that he did for Gulf was just beautiful. He drilled wells. Installed fences, ect. Early on, when younger, was a deadly pool player, and later on Golfer...I don't live in CLW any more, but when I return I am always saddened by the stretch of Fort Harrison that housed the Little Big and Mrs Shoemakers sundry score next door. I miss all the Morellis and the Polettis.
My sympathies to Vicky, Victor and Michael and his wife Bonnie

I knew Dominic almost all my life, Including his Dear Mother and her other children,
I was sad to hear of his passing...may he rest in peace...
I had planned to see if I could find a phone # to call him sometime to inquire about MUTUAL friends we had some years ago and see how they were and IF they still among the living...I see that I put it off too long. From the time I was a child my Dad would go to the "LITTLE BIG MARKET" that belong to his mother, and buy the wonderful Vegetables
she sold. We all got to be the best of friends...Perhaps "Dom" and his Mom are together
once more , what a wonderful REUNION that would be!
Sincerely,
