Donna Jean Laycox's Obituary
LAYCOX, Donna Jean (Reiss) 87, of Dunedin, FL, passed away on January 22, 2017.
Donna attended Grant Hospital Nursing School and Ohio State University Speech and Drama. She was a medical transcriptionist and business office manager for 32 years at Columbus Radiology. Donna also performed medical transcription for many other physician offices like Columbus Medical Center and Arthritis Center. She loved collecting recipes and cookbooks and doing crossword puzzles.
Donna is preceded in death by her mother Katherine Bauch Reiss; father John Reiss; mother-in-law Mabel Laycox Recob; and sons-in-law Jack Carothers and William Mathews. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Donald L Laycox; daughter Debra Carothers; daughter and son-in-law Dawn and Richard Butler; son Dirk D Laycox; six grandchildren: Bryan (Kristy), Brett (Chris), and Brandon Carothers, Tyler Mathews and Jessica (Jairel) Bizel, and Cameron Laycox; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Wife, mother, nurse, actress, singer, dancer and medical transcriptionist personified, world traveler who never met a stranger. She and I, her husband, will meet at the Kahala Hilton in Hawaii and have a party with all of our friends. I will love you till the day I die. – Don
