Dorino John Cozzini's Obituary
Dorino John Cozzini passed into eternal glory on Thursday, May 16, 2019 assisted lovingly by the staff of Suncoast Hospice. Dorino was born in Massimeno, Italy to the late Tranquillo and Brigidia (nee Beltrami) Cozzini. A graduate of Seton Hall University and Immaculate Conception Seminary, Dorino was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in the Diocese of Newark, NJ May 1961. He served in the Newark Diocese for 12 years. Upon leaving the active ministry Dorino moved to Clearwater where he served in several positions for the Diocese of St. Petersburg, mostly notably using his talent as master organist. Dorino worked as social worker for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office retiring after 14 years of service in 2001. Dorino then mercifully served as team chaplain for Suncoast Hospice for seven years. In 2012 Dorino was received as Presbyter in the Reformed Episcopal Church, Diocese of the Central States. Dorino served with great joy to our Lord as assistant to the pastor, Rev Wayne McNamara at Christ the King Anglican Church, Dayton Ohio where many loving relationships still endure. Dorino returned to the Roman Catholic Church in December of 2017. Dorino’s life confirmed a love of God, Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary and love of family and friends. Dorino had a listening heart and loved a good joke. He shared his sense of humor with whomever he came in contact with and always had a warm priestly blessing (numbers 6:24-26) for all.
Dorino is survived by his loving and devoted wife of twenty years, Connie, four loyal step-children, Robyn (Carlton) Bowers, Greenville OH, Sabrina Giaimo, Lutz, FL, Sean (Crispin) Fievet, Bend OR, Joseph (Stacy) Fievet, St Petersburg, FL, 17 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren, Caring brother to Aurelia “Rita” Stypulkoski, and seven faithful and loving nieces and nephews, eleven grand nieces and nephews who reside in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania areas.

The Merton Prayer
My Lord God,
I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
nor do I really know myself,
and the fact that I think I am following your will
does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you
does in fact please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.
I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.
And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road,
though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore will I trust you always though
I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death.
I will not fear, for you are ever with me,
and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.
