Dorothy Louise (Anderson) Kusmierczyk's Obituary
Dorothy passed away last Sunday in Tampa, FL. She was born in Waupaca, WI to William and Viola Seegar Anderson. She grew up on a small farm in Saxeville, WI not far from where she was born and graduated valedictorian from her High School in 1946. Casey met Dorothy at the drug store where she worked. They were married on December 21, 1950. They moved to Lincoln, NB. Their children were Robert, Richard and Joan. Soon afterward, Casey retired from the Army (E-8). They moved to Bradenton, FL where Dorothy graduated from Manatee Junior College in 1981. Casey died in 2009, in Bradenton, FL. She is survived by three children: Robert (Anne), Richard (Teresa) and Joan (Tom) Rice and grandchildren. She leaves behind a brother James (Arlene) and three sisters: Hattie (Maurice) Snell, Lila (Lyle) Dorn, and Elizabeth (Raymond) Shultis. Dorothy was an avid cook, puzzle solver, card player, and passionate seamstress who made many of her clothes. Casey and Dorothy were very active members of the Lutheran Church and served God in great many ways all their lives. She was a Great Mom and sister! Memorial service will be on May 18, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Hope Lutheran Church in Bradenton, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hope Lutheran Church – Campus Ministry, 4635 26th Street W. Bradenton, FL 34207 are appreciated.
