Dorothy Mae Sika's Obituary
Dorothy Mae Sika (nee Darr) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 10th, 2020 at her home in Clearwater, Florida. She was 91 years young. She was born in Maple Hts., Ohio. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Clinton and Elsie Darr. She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Sika, Sr., and her loving sisters, Elsie Darr Chapple, Hazel Darr Simonik, Millie Darr Monday, Chubby Darr Bellar and her brother William (Bill) Darr. Survivors included her loving son, Steve (Stephen) and several generations of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, her friends Dixie Halleran and her son, Edward Halleran plus her loving caregiver of 7 years, Miss Patricia McClellan. "Dottie" loved to cook and enjoyed traveling between her home in Ohio and Florida for nearly 50 years. Most of all, She loved her entire family. Her biggest joy during the last 25 years was attending the theater at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida where they welcomed her like a member of their family. She loved the performing arts and seeing the stars and their shows. She even had a chance to meet a few of her favorite entertainers. If you are so inclined, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests that She would want you to remember her in the form of a donation to Ruth Eckerd Hall for their student education programs. Moss Feaster Dunedin in charge of services.
