Douglas Clark Harry Hoover's Obituary
Douglas “Juby” Hoover was born on July 14, 1980 in Wooster, Ohio to Douglas Hoover and Cynthia Hawley Hoover. Doug was the oldest son of three boys. Shortly after he was born his parents moved to Cincinnati and settled in Columbus in 1988. Doug spent his childhood with a ball in his hand and was a talented basketball player. He loved spending time at his grandparent’s farm just outside of Wooster during summer break. He also enjoyed working with his parents in their restaurants. He especially loved all sports and was a lifetime fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, The Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. He was quick-witted and funny. He read the Bible more than any other book, loved to read and was baptized in 1994.
In 2000, he relocated to Florida. He met his girlfriend, Laura Holmes, a few years later and in 2012 he became a father to Douglas Cameron (Cam) Clark Hoover followed by their second son, Case Larry Hoover in 2015. He loved his sons and spent many hours playing baseball, basketball, disc golf and regular golf. They meant everything to him.
He will always be remembered for his wit, sense of humor and ability to quote every line in every movie he ever liked. He had a strong faith. He is greatly missed and loved beyond measure.
He is survived by two sons Cameron and Case, Mother Cindy, Father Doug, Brothers Daniel and Don, Partner Laura, Paternal Grandmother Barb, and many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces, second cousins and beyond.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
