Douglas M Stoner's Obituary
Doug Stoner was born on July 5th, 1964 and passed unexpectedly at his residence Saturday Sept 30, 2017 from diabetic related complications. Doug is survived by his mother Nancy, brother Mike (Dot), nieces Alysha and Haley, and nephew Brandon. He was born in Owasso Michigan and became a Florida resident at the age of 1 ½ years. Growing up Doug had many neighborhood friends and days were filled with outside activities. Doug attended SPJC, UF and completed his BS Degree at USF (but Doug’s allegiance was with the Gators). Doug’s professional career took him to the DOT in Bartow where he stayed for over 19 years. In 2014 he moved back to Clearwater to assist his mother in caring for his father and uncle. Doug’s greatest pleasures included being part of the Gator Nation, working out, diving, skiing, and spear fishing. Above all Doug Stoner was a kind good hearted son, brother, and uncle who will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. Rest In Peace Doug – we will always love you.
