Wow Duncan was always great to me, Had many wild and crazy nights at the cabin, We used to wait for that crock pot, beans and weenies to come out! Thanks for letting me chill to the early morning hours, Wish i could of said so long old friend....Blessing to the family, his laugh will be missed!!!
Memories of a former kid, boy scout and classmate:Duncan will be sorely missed, his smiling face, hearty laugh, great parties and generosity will never be forgotten. In Heaven, may he have a superb wine steward who will serve "expensive" and "tasteful" bottles of wine.Hopefully, during his card games he will remember not to change the rules as the game is being played.Smooth sailing Sailor!! REST IN PEACE!
I HAD GREAT TIME FOR MANY YEARS SEEING DUNCAN IN NOVEMBER,ESPECIALLY DURING THANKSGIVING SEASON AND MEETING MOST OF HIS IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND REMEMBERING ALL NICE THINGS DURING MANY YEARS TOGETHER.I SURELY WILL MISS HIM AND SEEING HIS FAMILY.
After 70 years of friendship the party is over, no more laughs or twice weekly phone calls. We had a long and good run together. I'll miss you old friend.
Duncan will be missed very much. The days of The Cabin were some wonderful times in my youth. I am glad I got to know him. My condolences to his family.
I guess its time for Heaven to open up a after hours bottle club....Its been over 22 yrs since I last saw Duncan but like so many of us, Duncan has a special spot in our hearts...It was Duncan we looked up to when it came to running a bar. Like my friend Scott stated, we spent many wonderful times with him in our youth at the Cabin...We are glad to have known you and may one day we all get to drink with you again in Heaven's after hours...Does anyone have a chip?
My family sends our deepest sympathy to Duncan's family. He was a special person to all of us...my husband John whom we lost from cancer 7-30-2003, Teri (daughter), Johnny (son) Gary (son), & Jackie (daughter) we all loved him so much, he was such a great guy and will be missed by a lot of people. May he rest in peace in God's care.~A long time friend,Leona & Family
My deepest sympathy to all in Dunc's family. When I came to Dunedin 41 years ago to join the Dunedin Police Dept., one of my first honors was to be formally introduced to Duncan. He and I became fast friends. Through him, I met many interesting and wonderful people including the mother of my two children, Nancy. We had so many enjoyable and riotous times together including planting one of Clearwater's parking meters in the front lawn of McKown's Restaurant on the night of my bachelor's party. It was the first and only parking meter ever erected in the City of Dunedin. His wonderful support of the Dunedin Police Department and its members will always be remembered. The annual banquets that he held each year for us were beyond compare. Duncan, it was an honor to share in your 50th birthday celebration at the Sand Key Inn on Clearwater Beach in 1975 and it is with sadness that I mark here your passing. You will remain forever in my heart and memory. Thank you for sharing a part of your life with me
Our Deepest sympathy.Axel and Mary Lou Johnson
