Edgar L. Seibert's Obituary
Edgar L. Seibert 1934-2018. Ed was born in Livingston
Montana 12/22/34 to Edgar W.Seibert & Patricia Jean
Seibert. They relocated to Ohio where he met & married his
wife, June, upon graduation from high school. He was
educated at Bowling Green & Kent State Universities in
Ohio. He served in the Navy 1954-57. He was a
Washington DC police officer 1959-71 at which time he
became a Federal agent with Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms
(ATF) until he retired in 1985. He worked with Secret
Service on Presidential protection details for Harry Truman,
Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, John Kennedy, Lyndon
Johnson & others. He was a Boy Scout leader, Little League
Baseball coach & umpire and served as a Deacon in 2
different Presbyterian churches. He volunteered as an
Ombudsman with the Florida department of Elder Affairs in
Volusia County for 7 years. He enjoyed playing golf & was
an accomplished artist creating many oil paintings. He is
survived by his wife of 64 years, June, three children.
Jeannette Miller, Edgar J. Seibert & Michael T. Seibert, 10
grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. He will be cremated
& his ashes kept until June's ashes can join his in the future
so that they can be interred together.
