Ednamae Jordt's Obituary
Ednamae was born to Robert G. and Laura E. (Lambert) Cullen. She went to her eternal rest on February 2, 2024, at the age of 101.
She met and married (May 6, 1944) her high school sweetheart, Walter Jordt. They spent the next 68 years together living in: Washington, D.C. 1944-1946); Elmwood Park, IL; Woodale, IL; and finally moving to On Top of the World, Clearwater, Florida in 1986.
Our mother enjoyed an array of activities including: Jesters, bowling, bingo, and dancing. She loved to dance. Her major debut was dancing at the 1933-1934 World's Fair in Chicago. Ednamae was not one to sit on the sidelines and volunteered her time to many organizations such as: Elmwood Park Presbyterian Church, PTA, Alexian Brothers Hospital, the Dorado Building at On Top of the World, Clearwater in several positions including building president and the building Good Neighbor.
She was the loving mother of W. Randall (Rose Marie) Jordt, Diane (Brad)Pettet; devoted grandmother of Raymond (Anne) Jordt and Rachelle (Brian) Gardner; cherished great-grandmother of Nathan and Ryan Jordt, and Zachary Gardner; dear aunt of Sue (Tim) Kowalewski, Bill (Mary) Jordt, Joni Jordt (Stacey Wronski) and Stacey (Jon) Castanoli.
Ednamae was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Bob, and son-in-law Brad.
The family would like to thank all of her caregivers, especially Shari, Maggie, and Monica who took such wonderful care of her.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, from 1-4 PM with a remembrance at 3 PM by her daughter, Diane, at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 1320 Main Street, Dunedin.
The funeral services will be held in Elmhurst, IL.
