Edward "Buddy" Elson Booth's Obituary
Booth, Edward “Buddy” Elson, 93 years of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed Tuesday, December 27, 2016.
Edward was an Army veteran who served 1942-1945 in Fort Meade & Fort Dix during WW2. He was also a member of Palm Harbor United Methodist Church since 2012. He worked as a bus driver in Clairton, PA before working as a unit operator for PICCO/Hercules Chemical Plant in Clairton, PA for 30+ years, and retiring in 1985. Upon retirement, he and his first wife, Ruth, moved to Spring Hill, Florida. Ed loved trains and traveled across country with The Great Race in 1997. He was selected for the Honor Flight to Washington, DC in March 2016.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Maude Booth; daughters, Janet L. Hellard and Deborah E. Bonosky; first wife, Ruth Booth; second wife, Ida Moran; sisters, Shirley Arnold and Carolyn McCombs; brother, Paul Booth.
He is survived by: his daughter, Pat Young and her husband Ken; granddaughter, Robin Scott and her husband Michael and their sons Brendan and Jacob; grandson, David Young; grandson Kenneth Young and his wife Missy and their sons Frankie and Tiege; and also, special friend, Pat Shirtz.
