Edward Gervais' Obituary
Edward "Rock" D Gervais, 71, of Oldsmar, FL passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, surrounded by his children.
Graduated from Crown Point, IN high school and attended Indiana University as a Geology major, forever collecting rocks & sticks (and knives and flashlights.)
He spent much of his adult life between Florida & NW Indiana. He was a talented & proud Union Boilermaker #374. But in his soul, he was a bass guitarist & singer having played in many bands since high school, earning the nickname "Rock n Roll". He ran his own DJ/karaoke business starting in Chicago when karaoke was new to the scene. He loved fishing: Canada with relatives, Minnesota with his kids, Wisconsin with buddies & the Gulf. Lover of all wildlife, always whistling & talking to them. Big fan of the Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks & his adopted FL teams. Very proud of his French/Italian heritage with a huge heart for his extensive family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald and his beloved Uncles, John & Willy.
He is survived by his mother Rosalie; siblings Steve (Sue), Diane, Dave (Sande), Rob; devoted children Jason, Gina Trigg (Travis), Brian; his precious grandkids Evan, Sophie, Grayson, Scarlett; his companion Pam and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Dunedin, FL.
Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St Michaels the Archangel, Clearwater, FL. Luncheon and Celebration of Life will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The World Wildlife Fund or Music Cares.
