Elizabeth A Bodway's Obituary
Elizabeth “Beth” Anne Bodway, 60, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away January 5,
2021. She was born in Waynesville, NC, and raised in Jacksonville, FL. Beth graduated from Sandalwood Jr.-Sr. High School in 1978 where she was a Varsity cheerleader, a member of Senior Girls, Art Club, Sigma, and a Senior Men mascot. She attended Florida Community College where she received a CNA certificate and a phlebotomy degree. Beth had a passion for all animals, but anyone who knew her, knew that horses were her heart. Her Favorite place, where she lived for a short time, was Fernandina Beach, and still, decades later, was a #1 fan of Alice Cooper. Beth’s laugh was contagious and made anyone within earshot smile and/or jump out of their seat. Beth will be dearly missed but her laughter, the many memories and her love for her family will never be forgotten.
Beth is survived by her son, whom she loved dearly, Ronald “Ron” Belson II (Kim); father and mother, Rodney and Pat Bodway; sister, Peggy Fuller, brother-in-law, Dave Fuller, and her significant other of 10 years, Dennis Polys. She is also survived by her niece, nephew, great-niece, aunts, uncle, numerous cousins, many friends, and of course, her cat, Ali.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Katherine Bodway, and John and Lenorah Sikes.
The family would like to express their thanks for the care given to Beth by the nurses and doctors at Mease Countryside Hospital.
Because of Beth’s love of animals, those wishing to make a donation in her memory may be made to PETA at support.peta.org
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
