Ellen Oettlin's Obituary
OETTLIN, Ellen entered into heaven on June 7, 2017.
Ellen was born in Springfield, MA and moved to Florida in 1981 where she made this state her home. Ellen was a nurse for many years at Morton Plant and later for Hospice. Ellen loved her profession and caring for everyone. Ellen was an avid baker and always had “goodies” for everyone and at Christmas everyone got fruitcake.
Ellen leaves behind her loving sister, Nancy Oettlin Piela and her husband Rick Bouthillette of Springfield, MA; her niece Andrea Piela Florence and her husband Dan of Chicopee, MA; and her nephew Jeffrey Piela and husband Mike of Chicago, IL. Ellen also leaves behind her grandnephew and grandniece, Nolan and Ella Florence of Chicopee, MA. Ellen loved to keep up with the two and listen to stories of their sports and school. Along with her immediate family, Ellen is survived by her incredible group of loving, caring friends who filled her days with happiness and joy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, June 13th at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Clearwater.
