Ellen M Schaefer's Obituary
SCHAEFER, Ellen M. 82, of Palm Harbor, went to meet her Lord and Savior on March 28, 2018.
Born in Chicago, IL to Henry and Dorothy Kirchner, she graduated from Grayslake (IL) High School and attended Moser Secretarial School in Chicago. She held positions with Merrill Lynch and Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater as well as Haywood County Hospital and Edward Jones in Waynesville, NC. She served as President of the Haywood County Hospital Auxiliary and is a member of the Caladesi Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her brother William Kirchner (Sandra), children Kenneth Norton (Jane), Kathleen Cosentino, Kristine Anderson, Kurtis Norton (Sharon); step-children, Mary Ann Schaefer, Matthew Schaefer (Holly), and Paula Schaefer; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Fred and his family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2009 by her husband of 31 years, Richard, sister Dorene Boston-Maltese, and grandson Landon Anderson.
She was a member and active volunteer at Palm Harbor United Methodist Church, 1551 N. Belcher Road, Palm Harbor, FL 34683, where a memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, April 8th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial fund established in her memory at the church.
