Elsie Alwilda Ruble's Obituary
Elsie Alwilda Ruble, 99, passed away on May 21st, 2024, in Hoshton, Georgia. Elsie was born in Rural Grant County, Indiana, on April 26th, 1925, the 3rd of children born to the late Lessel "Pete" Earl Gardner and Mabel Corey.
Elsie lived in Clearwater, Florida, retiring in 2006 after working 50 years at Moss Feaster Funeral Home as their organist & secretary. Elsie later moved to Jefferson, Georgia, where she lived her last years with her grandson Jon Ruble and his wife Talisha.
Elsie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years Hershel Ruble, her devoted son Jan Ruble, her parents Lessel & Mabel, brothers Wayne & Jim, and countless other family & friends. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Samm Ruble of Statham, GA, grandson Jon (Talisha) Ruble of Jefferson, GA, grandson Mark Ruble of Statham, GA, granddaughter Kim (Robby) Ward of Statham, GA, great-grandchildren Ali (Cody), Hunter, Skylar, Lane, & Nolie, great-great-grandchildren Rowan, Arrabella, Thatcher & Clarisse, and special friends Janet & Paul McMullen.
Elsie spent her time after retirement as a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Safety Harbor, playing the organ for church services. Gospel was Elsie's favorite music; she was a devout believer & her faith in God and life beamed from her so much that everyone in her presence felt it. Elsie was faithful, kind, generous, and humble; she was the most amazing, caring, and loving woman. You were better off having met her and been able to call her a friend.

Graveside services to be held at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, in Clearwater, Florida, on June 8th, 2024, at 10:00AM. Flowers may be sent to the cemetery with attn. Elsie Ruble.
