Elvena Ealum Bullock's Obituary
Elvena Ealum Bullock, age 100, of New Port Richey, FL has sadly passed on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Born in Defuniak Springs, FL to James M. and Ovella Murphy Ealum. She grew up in the Glendale Community. She was a “Rosie the Riveter” at Wainwright Shipyard in Panama City welding gun turrets to Liberty Ships during World War II
She moved to Clearwater in 1946 with her family. She worked as an LPN for Morton Plant Hospital for 30 years spreading her care and comfort to those who needed it most. She was also a longtime member of Sunset Point Baptist Church, subsequently known as Pathways. She enjoyed the time she shared with those she loved, sharing her stories, and gardening.
She is preceded by her late husband John D. Bullock, Sr., both parents, sisters Amalou (Sarie) and Rubena (Beans), and brother Ray.
She is survived by sons John D. (Marilyn) Bullock, Jr. and Gerald B. Bullock Sr, daughters Shawn R. (Gerald) Henson and Shanon N. (Kenneth) Carter, and sisters Louise Betencourt and Nell G'Ardoneau. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
