Elvira Sirna Agnello (Vera) passed away at home peacefully at the age of 92 on May 22, 2015 She was preceeded in death by her first husband Thomas Joseph Sirna in 1977 and her second, Joseph Agnello, in 2005. Vera was born in New Read Obituary
It is difficult to memorialize Vera without a smile. I remember vividly the first time I met her many years ago. Actually I heard her before I saw her in another room. I remember thinking "Now THAT's New York"!!! She could have been a character actress in any movie as she epitomized the city and all it's vivid stories. My best word for her is that she was a PISTOL. No filters, just a real person. How she loved all her family and treasured her friends. I just hope there's a vacuum in heaven to keep her busy. Try to rest, Vera. God is in for an experience. Heart of Gold, would describe Vera in 3 words. She was one of a kind- like a hug,
or a sunset. Vera was a person who spread love through her laughter, smiles,
and acts of kindness. My beautiful Aunt Vera, acted from the heart and kept in mind
the hearts of others. She was admired, and precious to all who knew her, and will
Never be replaced. Vera was a true blessing in my life, from my first breath, to her
last. She guided me with advice, loved unconditionally, and was a joy to be around.

We were friends for 40 years. Vera was always the "fun person" in the room and amused everyone with her stories and anecdotes. Not only was she close to her contemporaries, but also to their children and grandchildren, who continued the friendship.
She willed be missed!
She was my beautiful Aunt Vera !
Her love for her family (her son and grandchildren), as well as for members of her extended family (nieces, nephews and friends), was evident in all that she said and did in her life.
Her attitude toward life and it's ups and downs, was greatly tempered by her wonderful sense of humor. She knew well, how "not' to take life too seriously, since she did not lose sight of the fact that it (life) is "only temporary" !
Instead, she set her eyes on the "finish line", and ran her race true to her own God-given and morally based values. She was certain to stay true to Our Loving God in Christ, Jesus, His Divine Son, Our Savior and Redeemer.

She maintained her unity with her maker through the intercession Of our most Blessed Mother Mary, the Mother of God, by virtue of her recitation of the most holy Rosary.
Aunt Vera loved her family; she loved God by doing so !!!
She had faith; she had hope, and she had Love (the greatest of these). !
She knew that "Love never fails" 1 Cor.13
