Eric Michael Holt's Obituary
Our passionate and extraordinary Eric Michael Holt, 59, passed away on the rainy morning of December 28, 2023 at his home with his son Alec Holt, 4, in Clearwater, Florida.
Eric, the eternal traveler: born on October 28, 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona to Elva Wingfield Coor and Clarence D. Holt (Skip) and was surrounded growing up with his loving, Irish twin sister Elizabeth Kosloff and his beautiful baby sister Stephanie Lavinia; drove over to:
San Diego, California - completed US Navy Aviation Firefighting and Search and Rescue Swimmer School; sped up the 101 to:
Los Angeles, California - graduated from University of California with Baccalaureate Degree in Geo-political History; flew in hippie style to:
San Francisco area, California - taught history in a middle school and assisted in media production; flew around to LA and AZ and who knows where, then landed at:
Santa Fe, New Mexico – showcased jewelry and co-owned a French restaurant; escaped the nightmare to paradisal:
Oahu, Hawaii – lived with his step-bro Colin Coor where they appeared in an episode of Hawaii Five O and dabbled in the entertainment industry again; sailed back to:
Los Angeles, California - grounded back down with contracting business and fell in love with his surviving fiancé, Biliana Iontchev; changed perspective:
Santa Monica, California – love of his life, his son Alec Holt is born on his dear sister Liz’s birthdate, September 25th 2019; surfed the waves of Maui, Hawaii and across the USA to:
San Juan, Puerto Rico – invested in new tech businesses, while supporting his family in Florida;
Clearwater, Florida – continued to run Holt LLC, contributed to the expansion of Coastal Green Energy Solutions, and enjoyed being a caring father to his young son.
Additional surviving family are his beloved and successful niece and nephew, Kayla and Jason Kosloff and their father Sandy Kosloff, with whom he shared many fun adventures; brother-in-law Todd Lavinia; step-sister Ferryl Bertmann, her husband Andre and children Max and Sebastian; step-brother Colin, his son Kaiden, and Kaiden’s mother Rachel; mother Elva and step father Lattie Coor, as well as his aunt Judy and her husband Cliff Wood and cousins Jeff and Jennifer and their families; and aunt Sally and her husband Robert Randall and cousins Clayton and Jill and their families; his Bulgarian family Olga, Tzvetan, and Ivaylo Iontchev on his son’s side. Eric, we all will miss You very much!
Eric was preceded in death by his father Skip Holt, whom he called three times a day – from love; Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Bob Avakian, whom fueled his passion for life; and step-brother Kendall Coor.
Rest in peace Eric. We hope you’re enjoying another adventure traveling around the world with your favorite people in the T-Bird and watching your son grow into a better man than you could ever imagined. Thank God for allowing you to take care of Alec and Bili from Heaven. May your spirit be filled with freedom and love, knowing that you made an epic impact in our lives!
