Gene was a very intelligent man...that liked to tease Jenny and I when we were young kids. He truly was too young to die. But now he gets to celebrate Christs birthday right beside him. He will walk beside you and hold your hand even in spirit. God Bless the family to ease their pain. Wish I could be there for you Jen... I love you!!
Dad, A few months ago you were apologizing to me for not being able to say certain words or for not understanding me, I told you "It's ok Dad, I'm greatful I can hear your voice." I will never hear your voice again..But you will always be in heart. You were a caring Father, who told many people not to worry about you. Everytime I feel sad and missing you, you told me a few years ago..not to be sad, remember the good times and laugh.. I have been remembering you and laughing about many things you have told me..I will truely miss our conversations, but you are no longer in pain and I'm at peace for that reason. I'm also grateful to my Step-Mom Nancy, she took care of him. I can't imagine how much strength it took her to watch him struggle through the pain and fustrations of him not being able to communicate.I love you Dad and I will see you later!
Words cannot express how heartbroken I am over the loss of my dad. I was so fortunate to have him in my life for 42 years. He not only was a wonderful person and father, he had the best sense of humor! I cannot begin to say how many times over all the years we would laugh until we cried. I will miss him so much but so glad he is no longer in pain and is with his mom, dad, and brother. I know he will always watch over me and my boys that he loved so much. I have a lot of great childhood memories of Gene. He was truely the kind of man that would do anything for anyone. Even though I havent talked with him in years Gene will Always have a place in my Heart and will be missed dearly.
