Evelyn S Hardesty's Obituary
HARDESTY, Evelyn Schrell of Clearwater, Florida passed away September 27th, she was 93. Evelyn was the youngest child of Edward and Ida Schrell. Evelyn lived in Fort Plain, NY until she married Francis H. Anderson. Evelyn and Howard Anderson had six loving children. John, Henry, David, and Peter were raised in the greater Albany area, while Joyce and Dag were primarily raised in Clearwater.
Evelyn was a long-time resident at Top of the World, prior to her moving to an assisted living facility in 2015. Evelyn happily worked in the nursing field for many years and was always available to help a friend in need. She was an active member of the Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and participated in a variety of charity events. Evelyn was a tenured member of Eastern Star, where she held the position of Electa. Evelyn could often be found volunteering with activity cards at Top of the World or playing bingo with her sister Dorothy at Mease Manor. She loved ballroom dancing and spent many of her happiest hours practicing and performing dance.
She is survived by five of her six children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
