Evelyn Gorton Imlah's Obituary
Imlah, Evelyn G. 88, of Dunedin, passed away January 18, 2018 surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Imlah. Evelyn is survived by her children Roseanne (Ron), Tim (Jean), Peter, and her grandchildren, Nathan, Jackson, Ethan, and great grandchildren, Benson and Ella. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Dunedin on Sunday January 21st at 3:00 P.M.
Evelyn was born in New York. She worked as a long-distance operator with New York Bell in the 40s and 50s. She married her Husband, Thomas in 1952. In 1955 They gave birth to their first child Roseanne while living on Long Island. Followed by the addition of Timothy in 1964 and Peter in 1966. In 1969 the family moved to upstate New York. In 1976 the family moved to Florida to be near their good friends the Caley’s. Evelyn and Thomas were members of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church of Dunedin for decades. Evelyn served as clerk of the session, Stephan’s Ministers as well as other positions in the church. Evelyn was blessed to travel and see much of the world. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
