Everett Eugene Floyd's Obituary
Everett Eugene Floyd, 67, passed away on the morning of April 28th, 2025, in Safety Harbor, Florida. Everett was born on September 11th, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana to his parents, Everett Floyd and Barbara Hewitt, the third of six children. In 1976, Everett married Deloris Sherman, and was with her until her death in 2015.
Everett lived in Indianapolis for 50+ years, where he worked as a carpenter. After retiring in 2018, he and his End-of-Life Partner, Dorothy, decided to live in paradise and move to Safety Harbor, Florida.
Everett could be found watching WWE or NASCAR, and if he wasn’t you know he’d be tinkering with his CB radio, talking with folks under his pseudonym "The Programmer". Old School Country and Old Rock N’ Roll were the soundtrack of his life. He was a strong provider and fierce protector of his family. He loved them deeply, being infinitely dependable and loyal.
Everett is preceded in death by his Beginning-of-Life Partner, Deloris Sherman (2015); son, Robert William Sherman (2023); sisters Peggy Floyd (1995) and Karen Ramirez (2024); younger brother Michael Young (2004); and parents, Everett Floyd (1978) and Barbara Hewitt (2002).
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Lopez, Peggy Rodriguez, and Amy Torres; stepdaughters Kimberly Adams and Anna Winkler; sisters Pam Floyd and Marlene Chyle; and his End-of-Life Partner, Dorothy Rosetto.
