Florence G. Majer's Obituary
MAJER – Florence, 94, of Clearwater, Fl., formerly of Johnstown, PA, died December 29, 2017 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor, FL. She was born on October 31, 1923 to John and Mary (Havyer) Hanzel in Johnstown, PA. Florence attended Johnstown High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Seaman First Class. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the former Mercy Hospital and a lifelong member of the AMVETS. Florence is survived by her loving husband Joseph of 69 years, children; Marilyn of Clearwater, FL., Joseph Jr. of Palm Harbor, Fl., married to Marreen (Mahoney) and two grandchildren; Brittney and Brett married to Lyndsey (Beall). She was preceded in death by her parents; brother William of California, sisters; Eleanor Martin, Bernadine Martin and Eileen Bach all of Johnstown. Visitation will be January 3, 2018 from 7:00 – 8:00pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Clearwater, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 4th, 2018, 10:00am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Clearwater, FL. Interment will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
