Francis A Leone's Obituary
Francis A. Leone Sr., US Army (Ret.), 96, passed away June 8, 2017. Francis served with the 27th Division in WWII, was a Korean War Veteran, and retired from the U.S. government as a gunsmith.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Mary P. (Fusillo) Leone and son Francis A. Leone Jr.
He is survived by his son, Dennis A Leone of Syracuse, NY, daughter-in-law Mary Jane Leone of Florida, grandchildren Paul (Angie) Leone and Amy (Micah) McCombs and great-grandchild Emersyn Ryder McCombs of FLorida, brother Robert (Eleanor) Leone, sisters Rose Mattia, Ann Mezzanini, and Carmelina Ziobro.
Francis was also preceded in death by his brothers John, Tony and Mike Leone.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 22nd at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin. A second mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Blessed Sacrament Church in Utica, NY at a future date.
