CLAWSON, Frank B.
Age 89, formerly from Johnstown, PA and married to Thomasine (Tammy) for 67 years passed away peacefully on January 5, 2017, at the Masonic Home of Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Melva, his brothers Donald and William (Bill) and his sister Doris.
Frank served 3 years in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from GTE/Verizon after 30 years and SCI/Moss Feaster Funeral Homes after 20 years. Frank was active in the Boy Scouts of America and served as District Commissioner in Pinellas County area, where he was an Order of the Arrow recipient and he also received the Silver Beaver Award. Frank was a 50 year member and Past Master of Dunedin Lodge #192, Free and Accepted Masons, he was a Knights of the York Cross of Honour, Clearwater Chapter #45, Clearwater Council #34, Springtime Commandery #40 of the Clearwater York Rite Bodies, and Knights Templar Commandery. He also received the DeMolay Legion of Honor with former astronaut Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin. He was a member and Past Patron of Queen Easter Chapter #4 Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Grand Warder of the State of Florida.
Frank is survived by his wife Thomasine (Tammy), their 3 daughters, Cheryl, Barbara and Kathy, 3 grand children Michelle, Tracey and Andrew (AJ) and 6 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Masonic Home of Florida 3201 1st Street NE, St. Petersburg, FL, 33704.
