Frank Raymond Cornetta's Obituary
Frank Raymond Cornetta, 89, passed away on June 22nd, 2023, in Clearwater, Florida. Frank was born on April 30th, 1934, in Bronx, New York, the son of the late Francesco Cornetta and Elizabeth Mottola.
Frank is survived by his daughter Jill (Travis) Pettengil, son Richard (Barbara) Cornetta, and grandchildren Lucas, Lilly, Nicholas, and Alessia. He is preceded in passing by his parents, and beloved wife of 39 years Laurel.
Frank went to school at Dewit-Clinton High School in Bronx, New York, and served in the Navy from 1955 to 1957. After his military service, he worked over 40 years at Western Electric as a layout lineman, retiring in 1999 and moving to Clearwater, Florida. He married his wife Laurel Cornetta on July 16th, 1972, in Yonkers, New York.
Frank was extremely family oriented and involved, his children and grandchildren being the most important things in his life. He was detailed oriented, dependable, and a wise guy most of all. He enjoyed getting sun at the pool or beach, loved Frank Sinatra, and was an avid Red Sox fan.
