Frank H. Evener's Obituary
Frank H. Evener, age 84, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on August 16th, 2022. Frank is survived by his wife, Diep; two daughters and their spouses, Ngoc & Scott and Julie & Laszlo; three sons and their spouses, David & Erika, Steve, and Chris & Melissa; and seven grandchildren, Thomas, Lorene, Elise, Caughlin, Konnor, Kolton, and Sarah Lucille. He is also survived by Alex, a nephew whom he considered to be his own son.
Frank was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served 24 years in the U.S Army. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal; a Bronze Star Medal for heroism in ground combat (June 1970), two Bronze Star Medals for meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces (May 1970-October 1970 and June 1971-December 1971), the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service (May 1969-May 1970) and a Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Silver Service Star and Bronze Service Star. He was also a member of Cross Road Baptist church.
A visitation will be held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home on Thursday, August 25th from 5-7PM. A funeral service will follow on Friday, August 26th at 10:00AM with a 2:00PM graveside service following at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
