Frank L Walsh's Obituary
Frank Lee Walsh, age 75, of Dunedin FL, formally of Arlington, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2021, while at his home in the loving care of his wife, Constance. Born July 29, 1945 in the District of Columbia. He was the son of the late Charles & Helen French Walsh. Also preceding him in death, his brother, William Walsh, his first wife, Patricia Walsh, Nephews, Christopher Creekmore, Charles Creekmore, and Niece, Susan Creekmore. Frank enlisted into the US Navy, March 18, 1965 and proudly served his country aboard the USS Holmes County LST., until his honorable discharge on Feb. 3, 1969. After returning home, he began working as a Letter Carrier with the USPS. Frank diligently did his job for 32 years. In retirement Frank enjoyed fishing on his boat and time with his family and beloved pets.
Frank is survived by his wife of 32 years, Constance N. Walsh, his sister Sue Creekmore, 2 sons, Andrew T. Walsh, & wife Tanya, and Jeffrey F. Walsh, & wife Mandy, along with his 3 step-sons, Samuel E. Conover, & wife Kelly, David A. Conover, & wife Kimberlee & Jonathan F. May; as well as 6 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren from the Conover families. Nephews, Charles Walsh, James Walsh, and Bill Creekmore. Nieces, Darla Hergenreter, Karen Groom, and Kathryn Walsh. He also had his paw-pal, Gracie.
Frank enjoyed Veterans Day and loved it when Andrew & Jeff would call and say “Thank-you for Serving Dad!” Frank will be missed by all who loved him, may he now rest in peace. A committal service is scheduled for Friday March 19th at 10 am at Bay Pines National Cemetery at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, St. Petersburg, Fl. Following the committal service, please join us for a "Celebration of Life" & meal, 11AM, outdoor canopies, at the Largo Christadelphian Ecclesia, located at 12212 104th Ln Largo Fl. If you plan to attend, please rsvp to Connie, there are specific instructions to enter Bay Pines National Cemetery and for a covid screening. A headcount for the meal is appreciated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made in Frank’s memory to the Wounded Warriors Project at https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org
