GEORGE “BILL” BETHARD
George William Bethard, age 79, of Clearwater, Florida, departed this life on Tuesday morning, July 26, 2016 surrounded by his family. Born August 18, 1936, in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late George Bethard and Nettie (Taylor) Rose.
A veteran of the Navy, he served in the Korean War. Boating, skiing, and fishing on the Ohio River were beloved pastimes. He is well regarded by a host of friends for his charming disposition and great sense of humor.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 36 years, Cathy (Kaitis) Bethard along with three children daughter Kris, son Travis & fiancé Marjorie, daughter Leeann & husband Mike and grandchildren Kaitlyn & Kyle of Florida. He is also survived by daughter Tandy, son Brett & wife Ann; grandchildren Alex, Amber & Clinton; great-grandchildren Levi & Adeline; siblings brother James & wife Susan, sister Nancy & husband Jerry, and sister Cheryl of Ohio; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
