George J. Dwyer Jr.'s Obituary
George J. Dwyer, Jr., 78, passed away suddenly on December 30 as the result of a fall and subsequent stroke. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island to parents, Dr. George J. Dwyer and Sarah Dwyer. George is predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Martha Laurance and Sara Dwyer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara, and son, Dr. George J. Dwyer III, his wife Alison and grandchildren, George IV and Anne of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by his brother, David of Springfield, MA and sister, Lois London of St. Paul, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. George was a graduate of Providence College and served in the U.S. Army. His career was in finance having worked at Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, MI; Cole National Corporation, Cleveland, OH; IBM and ATT in Tampa, FL where he resided since 1981.
George’s family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Northside Hospital Neuro ICU for their professionalism, compassion and personal attention to George’s care.
