To family and especially Mary Louise,
I taught under the supervision of George as my building principal always respecting the great job that he did. At his retirement we teachers presented him with a patchwork quilt with my sentiment on it saying that George has just left the building. Well now George has just left our world for a far special one.
Every year we looked forward to an exchange of Christmas cards containing a small note as to what happened in our lives during the past year Thank you to remember us.
Being inducted into the St. Vincent sports hall of fame. What a tribute. His signature on the game ball of the 1950 win in the Tangerine Bowl
George, we give you praise and salute you for all of your lifes work I am proud and better to have known you

Mary Louise,
I was deeply saddened hearing of your loss. George and I shared many days together at Gateway. They were some of the greatest times of my education career. I learned so much from him during our ten years together that served me well for the remainder of my time at Gateway. We also shared many laughs together as we worked to provide the best possible experiences for all those connected to our school community.

My one regret was that during those ten years together I was never, not even once, able to convince him that "Pitt really was IT".
