George Morrison's Obituary
George Alexander Morrison
March 26, 1933 – January 1, 2021
George was born and raised in Albany, New York where he attended high school and began his professional career. He married Dorothy Dee “Dodee” his first wife and fathered four children Jennifer, Geoffrey, Scott and Bridget. Later he moved to Buffalo, New York where he was a sales manager. After his divorce he found himself in Florida where he worked for the Pinellas County Clerk’s Office for a number of years and retired from that employment several years ago. He married Tara his fourth wife and helped raise her daughter Carey who is now a Pasco County teacher here in Florida. George was always very active in the churches he attended which were Gulf Coast Church, Park Place Wesleyan, Calvary Baptist and Oak Ridge Wesleyan. He loved to sing praises to his Lord and was an accomplished singer and musician. He loved God’s Word and could be found in Bible class or teaching God’s Word when given the opportunity. In his later years he became a writer. He wrote two books of a trilogy called The Nature of God and What’s Next Jesus? He was in the midst of completing his third book on the Holy Spirit when God called him home. There will be an attempt to complete it for him in the future. His longtime friend Pastor Robert Sutton and he were accountability partners for over ten years studying God’s Word and praying for the needs of others on a weekly basis. He is survived by daughter Jennifer Morrison-Taylor (Castleton, Vermont), Geoffrey Morrison (Buffalo, New York), Scott C. Morrison (Tonawanda, New York) and Bridget Muffaletto (Kenmore, New York) plus step-daughter Carey Vaughan-Lloyd of Lutz, Florida.
