George R. Wallace's Obituary
WALLACE, George R. CA., CPA. 89, of Eastlake, passed away October 13, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joanne Hisey Wallace; daughters Pamela (Gene) Parsons and Patricia (Ken) Lorimer; and grandchildren Avery and Rachel Parsons. Born in Canada, George was a 55 year resident of the Toronto area. George enjoyed a 30 year career with Confederation Life Insurance Company. In the early 1980’s, his company relocated George and Joanne to Atlanta, GA. Upon retirement, the couple moved to Eastlake, FL where they would spend the next 20 years before their recent move to the Coral Oaks Community in Palm Harbor. Though he retired, George remained active. He was an avid golfer and bridge player. He enjoyed his lunches with the R.O.M.E.O.’s (Retired Old Men Eating Out) and golfing with the DAWGS. A celebration of George’s life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday October 23rd at Coral Oaks. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in George’s memory to the American Lung Association, the American Heart Association, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
