Hi Charlie, I met Geri While curling in my first ever US Women's Championship with Margaret Smith in New York.. We curled against the Tilden St.Paul rink and received a printed roster as a memorial to this event. .......One year later Myself and my husband,Jim Breen were moving to Minnesota... Geri and her teammates were the only people I knew from Minnesota...I called Geri for the name of a realtor. She put me in touch with YOU! and you connected us to ClapThompson Realty.. and to Sarah Kinney, who became our Realtor and sold us our home 1 mile from the Arden Hills Curling club! Sarah also became my best friend for over 43 years now!... I am so grateful for connecting with Geri ... the rest is History... thank you, Joan Breen Blanchard
Hi Charlie. I am so sorry to hear of Geri's passing. I appreciate all the opportunities I had to curl with her in playdowns and bonspiels. One of many memories I have of Geri is her wearing this gray sweater, unbutton, slliding down the ice, the sweater would flare out and she looked like super woman. She was a tough competitor. Dear Charlie, It was a shock to hear of Geri's passing. I still remember how she loved a good laugh, a drink, and of course, curling.
